摘要：A surgical resecting instrument whereby a cartilage, joint bump or tumor withina body cavity such as a joint cavity, for example, of a knee is resected from outside thebody cavity without incising it and is discharged out of the body cavity has a body partproviding a rotary driving connection and an insertable part to be inserted into a tissuewithin a living body attached to and extending from a front end part of the body part.The insertable part comprises a tubular outer tube opened in the tip part and forming anouter shell of the insertable part and an inner tube provided within the outer tube androtated and driven by the rotary driving connection. An outer tubular blade is provided inthe tip part of the outer tube. The tip of the outer blade is open and has a slot extendingfrom the tip in a peripheral wall and forming a blade part at an edge of the slot. An innerblade for shearing a living body tissue together with the outer blade part is provided inthe tip part of the inner tube within the outer blade. The inner blade has a shearing bladepart formed so that the angle formed with the outer blade part at the beginning of ashearing action will be larger than the angle formed with the blade part as the shearingaction continues.
