摘要：The present invention relates to a cathodic protection system for reinforcedconcrete structures, having reinforced steel embedded in the concrete mix. The systemincludes an electrically conductive coating composition applied in fluid form over anouter surface of the concrete mix. The coating composition, when dry, comprises apermeable binder material through which moisture permeates preventing entrapment ofmoisture in the reinforced concrete structure. The composition further includes apredetermined amount of electrically conductive filler material uniformly distributed inthe binder material whereby the coating composition has a predetermined value ofresitivity. The coating composition protects the reinforced concrete structure fromcorrosion when electrical energy flows through the coating composition. The systemfurther includes a source of DC electrical energy connective between the reinforcingsteel and the electrically conducted coating composition such that the electricallyconductive coating composition is anodic with respect to the reinforcing steel.
