摘要：In various embodiments, an electrochemical cell is provided. The

electrochemical cell may include a first electrode including a first metal oxide layer, the

first layer having a first surface. The electrochemical cell may further include a secondelectrode including a second metal oxide layer, the second layer having a second surface,the second layer parallel to the first layer. The electrochemical cell may also include anelectrolyte in direct physical contact with the first electrode and the second electrode.The first surface may be in direct physical contact to the second surface.
