摘要：As a means of reducing the incidence of seam failure in flat woven papermakersfabrics having multiple layers (11, 12) of weft yarns which arises from mechanical wear, it isproposed that the seam-forming element (15) is connected to warp yarns (113, 213)which respectively exist at the face and at the back of the fabric at the fabric end. In analternative structure, the seam forming element (15) is connected to warp yarns (713)which exist neither at the face nor the back of the fabric at the fabric end.
