摘要：An apparatus and a method for protecting a wireless power receiver from

excessive temperature caused by charging are provided. The apparatus includes a powerreceiver configured to receive wireless power in an alternate current (AC) form from awireless power transmitter; a temperature measurement unit configured to measure atemperature of a point in the wireless power receiver during reception of the wirelesspower; and a controller configured to decrease a charging power corresponding to thewireless power, if a temperature measured by the temperature measurement unitexceeds a preset temperature, and to provide the charging power to a battery, if thetemperature measured by the temperature measurement unit is lower than the presettemperature.
