摘要：Provided are: a method for manufacturing a sealing device which makes itpossible to improve the positioning accuracy of a parting operation while also improvingmanufacturing efficiency, even if the sealing device has an annular inner peripheral convexportion on its inner peripheral side, and a sealing device that is capable of achieving abetter sliding property and suppressing a breakage thereof. A method includes:conducting a process for molding an elastomeric cylindrical molded body (100a) that isprovided with a plurality of cylindrical surface portions (130) and a plurality of annularouter peripheral convex portions (110) arranged alternately on an outer peripheral sidethereof, further provided with a plurality of cylindrical surface portions and a plurality ofannular inner peripheral convex portions arranged alternately on an inner peripheral sidethereof, and the cylindrical surface portions on the outer peripheral side and thecylindrical surface portions on the inner peripheral side, as well as the outer peripheralconvex portions and the inner peripheral convex portions are provided so as to be at thesame positions in the axial direction; and conducting a process for conducting a partingoperation to the molded body (100a) along the individual cylindrical surface portions
