摘要：A method of treating an aqueous or non-aqueous dfsystem is disclosed whichcomprises adding to the system a thiolan of the formula wherein each of X and Y, whichmay be the same or different, represents fluorine, chlorine or bromine, in combinationwith a sulphone of the formula: R₁ - SO₂ CH = - R₂ in which R₁ represents an optionallyhalogenated alkyl radical or an optionally subsituted aryl radical, R₂ represents a cyanoof amidocarbonyl radical and X represents a halogen atom.
